Iberostar Paraiso Maya -- Maya Riviera

Hi! We're hoping some locals or seasoned CC travellers can share their opinions about Iberostar's Paraiso Maya property right outside Cancun in Maya Riviera. We're thinking of a short 4-6 night stay.

 

Does anyone have any personal experiences to share? They'd be appreciated. Thanks in advance! :)

We stayed there 2 years ago, and LOVED it. It was spectacular. Our kids loved the pool, wave pool, lazy river pool, swim-up bar and ice cream bar. We didn't even leave the resort to tour around, there was so much to do during the day with all the activities.

 

It was spotless too, and everyone was so friendly. We found the food great also, and the buffet selections were numerous.

 

I did a lot of research on TripAdvisor, and concluded on this place, and was not disappointed.

We did a bunch of online research and upgraded to the Iberostar Grand Hotel. It was a bit more expensive, but it gives us access to all of the other properties.

 

The Grand is their new, exclusive, adults-only property... we're really looking forward to it. :D We will definitely report back after the trip. The pictures are out-of-this-world... I want to crawl into the pool right now! :p

Great...have fun. The Grand was under construction when we were there, and also not an option for us with our 3 kids!! That would give you both the peace and quite of the adults only resort, plus the fun stuff of the Maya next door!!
