Hampton Inn - North in FLL opinions

Has anybody stayed there lately and what are you opinions and experiences? Did you find it met your needs for one night? Have the beds been upgraded to the standards of the rest of their chain yet? Did you feel safe? Did anybody leave their car there while they were cruising and what were your experiences?

We are staying at the Hampton Inn, Plantation for our November cruise. Looks clean and they offer free shuttles & breakfast. We were originally at the Sleep Inn in Dania but switched after reading posts on this board.

I have called Hampton Inn 3 times now and they were always pleasant and helpful.

I was looking at the park-n-flly option that is offered at the North location. There aren't many hotels in the area that allow you to park your car there for free while you are cruising:(
