What does the butler do?

Hopefully this is not a too dumb question!

We are now lucky enough (and are beside ourselves with excitement at the thought to be honest) to now be going on a Q2 cabin versus the Q4 we had originally booked on our December QE2 crossing from Southhampton to NYC. THis level has a butler.... what does he or she actually do? Or should be asked to do/ help out with?

Plus: what is the advice on tipping? We have opted in to have it added but I suspect we need to do something in addition.

Thanks for any help in making sure we don't show ourselves up too much!!

The butler is there to unpack your bags, and help you out with more personal things. One thing I like about this category is that on any night you choose your butler will serve you a course by course meal from the grill you are to dine in. I don't know about you, but I think that is an awesome thing.

As far as the tipping goes, what you have choosen to have added is just fine; however, if you should choose to give more then you will be able to do so once you are onboard. You can request the tipping envelopes or add more to your onboard account.
