I remember reading some time ago information on taking either the bus or train from Vancouver to Seattle. My parents are interested in taking the train, but is having a hard time getting the information. If anyone could help with info it would be greatly appreciated. Kelly

Hi Kelly, we were originally scheduled to take the train, which leaves Vancouver around 6 p.m. You need to contact Amtrak and they'll do booking. I believe it's around $23.00 per person. Other option if time is a problem is a "luxury coach" which offers different itineraries and leaves from RR station as well.
Good Luck!

Hi there, My husband & I will be taking the train from Vancouver to Seattle after our cruise on the Infinity is completed on June 27th. We look forward to a great cruise to Alaska and then a little sightseeing in Vancouver before our train trek. I understand it is beautiful and we are looking forward to taking the train. This will be our first time to travel by train. The website is www.amtrak.com. I was able to make the reservations online. I did call them to make sure I could drop off our bags after arriving in Vancouver so we could enjoy sightseeing prior to our train departure. I'm still working on a way to our hotel which is close to Sea-Tac after our arrival in Seattle. I'm expecting to have a great ride! Winnie

Thanks Delfin and Winnie. Winnie we will be on the Vision, arriving in Vancouver on June 25. Amtrak sounds great, my parents are continuing their trip in Seattle. Thanks for the link. Kelly

The bus option is Quick shuttle/ Seatac- Canada Place- you will need to add at least $30++ for cabs if taking the train.

Hi Win1, when I was making our original plans to take train to Seattle, the hotel at SeaTac offered to make our arrangements for transportation from train station to hotel. Perhaps your hotel can provide this service or offer other suggestion.
We're a group of 10 which like BQ mentioned added quite a bit to our cost due to transfers....so ultimately figured we were better off renting two mini vans and being masters of our own time!

Hi Delfin,
My Sea-Tac area Hotel has also offered to send a town car to meet us in Seattle. My problem is they wanted me to confirm 24 hours in advance when we would be traveling the Inside Passage returning to Vancouver. I'm gonna try and confirm in Sitka our last port prior to debarcation(sp.) We are gonna have such a great time!! Winnie
