this is for the most helpful scubagirl!!!

back in about 1980 I was in Nassau and we stayed at the then

holiday inn about a half a block walk to paradise island beach.

What is near that vicinity now ? It would be fun to see how much

it has changed!! Thank you

Holiday Inn at Pirates Cove (the one on the ocean beach.) was knocked down and is now where the COVE Atlantis stands.

 

Holiday Inn Sunspree, on the Harbour side, is now the Paradise Island Harbour Resorts. (property owned by Atlantis, but still under lease).

 

Honestly.. it's no "fun" to see how the island has changes. You'll cry when you see it's natural beauty decemated.

thank you - I was able to see a map yesterday and kind of figured

it was probably about where the atlantis is now. there was a "new"

casino there too - i suppose that is gone too! I know what you mean

about changed. fortunately/unfortunately tourism is like that !

It is still just so wonderful to have the opportunity TO travel that I

appreciate it all! Grand Cayman is another place that has changed

SO much over the years!!! About the only unchanged place (and THAT,is

changing too) is Margarita island!
