Info on Coconut Palms Resort in Puerto Plata??

Greetings! :) I would greatly appreciate any info on the Coconut Palms Resort in Puerto Plata, DR. We have an opportunity to go in December with free lodging, because others had to to back out. I haven't been able to get a whole lot of info on it. I realize I shouldn't complain or be too picky, but the airfare is not cheap, so we do need to check into it. Also just any info on Puerto Plata in general would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for your time....
