What time to book return flight?

We're booked on the Navigator Western Carib 12/11 sailing, returns 12/18 @ 8:30am.

 

What would be a safe time for our return flight to Los Angeles taking into account disembarkation, travel to airport, etc (please list times if possible as I am not familiar with the process).

I was told not before 2pm..would be safe.

We just returned from the NOS Western cruise-August 7-14. I was told to not book my flight until after 2pm. Since our flight was at 2pm,we were one of the last groups to be called (about 10:45am) and it took another 40 minutes to clear customs and immigration.We had a 15-20 minute ride to MIA from the pier. Had a wonderful 1st cruise and can't wait to do it again. Enjoy!
