sugarsparkles Posted September 21, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 21, 2007 I'm so confused... reading a post about Roatan and they talking about the ship's time vs. island time? They aren't the same? What is the ship's time based on? Oh lord how am I going to make sure I'm back in time?!!?!? Thanks! Rebekah

Your going to be just fine, you are not going to miss the ship and you will have fun. Have a wonderful cruise.
KenMo Posted September 21, 2007 #3 Share Posted September 21, 2007 Just always keep your watch on ship's time and you'll be fine.
big_duck Posted September 21, 2007 #4 Share Posted September 21, 2007 Most ships cruising the Caribbean keep their clocks set to the local time of your departure port, so if you leave from Miami you will be on Miami time regardless of the local time. Set your watch to a shipboard clock and you'll be fine.
flyingb Posted September 21, 2007 #5 Share Posted September 21, 2007 Just always keep your watch on ship's time and you'll be fine. KenMo is right! Talk about confusing, DH & I did a Fall foliage cruise from Boston to Canada. You wouldn't believe the time changes. About four or five! One was only 1/2 hour. I had never heard of that before, it was between Nova Scocia and another 'small island', can't even remember the name at the moment. The cruise itself was fantastic. We cruised down the St Lawrence River to Quebec City. It snowed that night and the Fall colors on the snow was something to behold! We sailed in mid Oct. I would reccomend it highly. I was reading over my post and just remembered, the place with the weird time was Nova Scotia. Or maybe Newfoundland. Sorry, 'senior moment'. :o Anyway, happy cruising!
