Chester Posted August 31, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 31, 2004 Our flight into Honolulu arrives late (11:00 pm). My wife would love to disembark the airplane and be presented with a lei. As it's our 30th wedding anniversary, it's the least I could do. However, it appears that we are more limited in which Lei Greeting services are available at that hour. So far I've been able to identify Kenui Aloha (more expensive) or Fish Bowl Tours. Has anybody had experience with either of these or any other recommendations? Mahalo! spleen93 Posted August 31, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 31, 2004 I think somebody has used Fish Bowl Tours before for lei greeting - I remember them being happy about the results but I'm not entirely positive about that. Hopefully, others will chime in. Spleen
thecleave Posted August 31, 2004 #3 Share Posted August 31, 2004 Hmmm, I was going to recommend that you try alohafriends.com, but their website seems to be down. I called & left them a message to see if they can do a greeting at 11:00 pm - I'll let you know what they say!
thecleave Posted August 31, 2004 #4 Share Posted August 31, 2004 Kim from Aloha Friends just called me back, and she said they will do a greeting at 11:00 pm. Their website is down, but should be back up in a couple of hours: http://www.alohafriends.com You can call her if you'd like - 888-256-4214. Chester Posted August 31, 2004 Author #5 Share Posted August 31, 2004 Thanks Spleen and thecleave! Fish Bowl Tours certainly has the better prices of the two that I was able to confirm delivering at that hour. thecleave - awfully good of you to do the extra work of calling on my behalf! I had seen alohafriends.com as well but they don't deliver on Wednesdays and Sundays at any time (and I'm arriving on a Wednesday) plus they aren't accepting any additional reservations for a number of days in October (as listed on their website which is back up again). Chester Posted September 1, 2004 Author #7 Share Posted September 1, 2004 Thanks stever. leigreeting.com was my first choice but they don't deliver after 9 pm. They suggested I try Kenui Aloha.
thecleave Posted September 1, 2004 #8 Share Posted September 1, 2004 Not a problem Chester - I was going to ask if you were arriving on a Wednesday! Glad you were able to find someone. I think it's great you're going the extra mile for your wife. I know I wouldn't be realizing my dream Hawaiian vacation without the lei greeting at the airport :D
