RSVP Sale - Closing Condition ???

The sale of RSVP to Atlantis was originally anticipated to occur on or about October 24, 2007. However, as of November 1, 2007 it had not yet closed due to a condition that PlanetOut management refers to as an "operational matter" that both sides are working to resolve. Does anyone know what this "operational matter" is?

I just returned from the Atlantis Week 1 in Puerto Vallarta and attended the "Ask Atlantis Anything" session with Rich Campbell on Thursday. Rich said that he had been busy all day (this was a 4:00 pm meeting) with advisors on the purchase/sale and that he hoped everything would be completed in a couple of weeks. He did not indicate any major issues, though, and was very upbeat about the acquisition (which it is, rather than a merger). :eek:

Somebody be sure to let us know when/if this thing closes. I would hate to see the deal come undone.

It is my understanding that the closing date has been moved to

November 19. They just couldn't get everything in order by October 24.

Since Rich Campbell makes it a point to be on site for most of the time at each Atlantis event, he has a lot on his plate without the RSVP acquisition. Now that the final week of the PV resort is in progress (and since that's the last of the Atlantis events in '07), Rich will have more time to devote to the legal matters regarding the purchase.

 

I think it will happen without a hitch. At least I hope so. :)

Alas, the Nov. 19 date, I have since found out, was an ESTIMATION.

The sale is still not final. Consequently, no contracts for

entertainers/hosts/etc. have been done for 2008. Still holding :)
