Just back from the 10/28 New England Cruise

Just returned from the Spirit. This was only my second cruise and my first with NCL. It was a "girls getaway" trip and we couldn't have been happier. We brought 8 bottles of wine and were happy to pay the $15.00 corkage fee. Dinner was mostly eaten in Windows and food and service were beyond what we expected. We saw a few shows and enjoyed them. Bingo was fun once but no need after that. The casino was alot of fun and my friend Peggy won the slot tournament and walked away with a cool $500.00. We had a balcony room on deck 9 aft and were very happy with it. If anyone has any questions I'll do my best to answer. Happy Sailing!

Glad you had a good time. Just wondering how the weather was? Cool? Also, were people swimming and laying on the outdoor chaises. I did this trip years ago on the Norwegian Sea but it was in August! My stepsister was on your cruise but I haven't asked her about it yet.

I saw a few people in the hot tub but never anyone in the outdoor pool. Halifax was mighty chilly but Bar Harbor was toasty warm and sunny. Yesterday at Martha's Vineyard it was cold and very rough on the tenders. People were even sea sick on the tenders. Not fun at all.

I saw one young man inthe outdoor pool. However, for the most part, the weather did not suggest swimming, although there were several days where one could sit outside. Bar Harbor was probably the best in terms of weather -- too bad it get's foggy so fast atop Cadillac Mountain.

We enjoyed Oli's Trolley in Bar Harbor and the Beantown Trolley in Boston. NCL did not offer either in their list of excursions, but we watched our time and made it back to the ship all right. We took the "hop-on, hop-off" bus copled with a drive to Peggy's Cove. Halifax was cool, but Peggy's Cove was very windy.

We were lucky -- we just beat Noel to NY. Still, no understatement about the tenders at Martha's Vineyard. As we cruised in I saw the Pilot Boat riding the waves and had a good idea what to expect. Some people got soaked as their tenders leaked water. Still, good cruise!:)
