Miami info

We are driving a rental car from Orlando to Miami in December (Norwegian Dawn) and looking for a great pre-cruise hotel. I would love recommendations as well as info getting to port and closest car rental agency. We do have kids and would like a pool. Thanks fellow cruisers!

We have stayed many times at the Hyatt Summerfield Suites (near Miami airport) -- unrelated to cruising -- but many other customers were cruise clientele. It is a great "suite" hotel -- 1 or 2 bedrooms with kitchenette (fridge, stove/oven, microwave, sink) and living room area; flatscreen tvs, nice pool area; and free "happy hour" (food) and free breakfast buffet. Fairly close to port area, so you could return your rental car at the airport and take the hotel shuttle to the hotel than just cab it to the port... I highly recommend this hotel.
