Go with Gus or book at Pier?

I like the looks of the humanitarian tour with "Gus" but wasn't sure about going with a large group. Does anyone have any info on just booking the same type of tour at the dock? Since your have to go to Livingston by boat do the pier tours have those available also? There is 6 in my group and my mom has a collapsible wheel chair that she needs to use if any long distances are required. Any info would be most helpful!!!
