NewCruzer1 Posted September 5, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 5, 2004 We received our documents for our Oct. 4 Holiday 5-nighter from New Orleans this week, which confirmed what we'd learned about our 'guarantee' cabin assignment almost a month ago via "bookmodify" at Carnival's site. Anyway, while most of the code on the back of the S&S application is obvious -- booking #, ship, sailing, name -- we're wondering if the "********2" at the end has any meaning, particularly regarding dining, or is just code fluff. We had requested second seating -- could it indicate that? -- or perhaps that we'll be assigned to one of the limited tables for 2 in the dining rooms? We find nothing anywhere else in the booklet that might indicate dining assignment. It's not that important to us, just a curiosity.
Cotton Posted September 5, 2004 #2 Share Posted September 5, 2004 Although some folks say they can tell which cabin they're assigned to (from the back of the docs)......there's no indication of dining room or time of seating. That's something that you won't know until you are handed your Sign & Sail card when boarding.
NewCruzer1 Posted September 5, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted September 5, 2004 Thanks, I thought that might be the case. It's not a big deal. Regarding the cabin #, it's listed on the documents -- it's not a matter of deciphering it from any code -- just as it was reported on Carnival's website.
