Renewing Vows

Renewal of Vows versus Anniversary package??? Your thoughts from those who have experienced this with Princess. Also do you have any suggestions or ideas in addition to this? My wife was asking me the other day about this and i didn't know what to say. For example, how do we dress for this, do we recite any thing, how long does it last, etc. Thanks!!

4 couples tried to surprise the wifes on the Sea Princess this past Valentines day. Except Champagne arrived to room the 2nd day along with 2 long stem glasses. Try to get out that one.

I gave in and she said who said I would marry you again? So drank the whole bottle. Just kidding. But she did say that though. The hostess will get hold of you and arrange the time and date. Ours was formal night and just happened to be valentines day. They bring you a holding area off captains lounge. When your turn escorted in and introduced to Capt , hostess and photographer. Great short service. Bring rings (we didn't) oop's. She loved it and photos fantastic. You can bring friends if you wish. This is my experience and others may differ. All I can say is book it. Bridge tour is a bonus. The four couples took the bubbly to the atrium and started the party right there.

I think price was $250-275?

When she told the kids they both said "our dad did that?"!

There are 2 packages, one is for $205 and the other is $485, which includes massages, champagne breakfast, robes, and tour of the bridge. Not trying to sound cheap but i'm wondering of it's worth it. Also, my wife is asking me stuff like what are we wearing, do we recite vows, etc., not sure what the ceremony is like or about.

Princess provides the renewal of vows ceremony. You'll be given a copy of it after your renewals. Ours was also on a formal night so we were dressed up. I chose to wear my wedding gown as it was not a real fancy type and my husband wore his tux. Worth EVERY penny! Flowers were beautiful. It is handled differently on each ship, so I can't guarantee yours will be exactly the same. Our bridge tour was the highlight of our trip. If you can afford it, I think it's the best "bargain" for the money.

We have bought the $200 package and will be on the Caribbean Princess in less than 3 weeks. I'll be sure to post everything I possibly can about the renewal ceremony as there is not a ton of information on it out here.

It is our 15 year anniversary so we have a lot to celebrate! I bought an ivory dress (not long) and have a beautiful beaded belt, head piece, the whole 9 yards.

I'm very excited about the whole trip but mostly the vow renewal. I know so much more about marriage now and how hard it can be so it's nice to celebrate 15 years!
