Playa Bonita or other beaches?

Ok, so I'm a bit confused on what to do when docked in Samana. Has anyone been to Playa bonita and how far of a taxi ride is it from the pier? I am looking for a nice sandy beach, with some waves perhaps and lay in the sun all day. We will be docked 9am-6pm and also consider the ride and ferry to Play ricon? Someone who has been here please help!

It is best because of your limited time; to ask on board the ship and not play around, there might be a tour going out there. Google a map of DR with semana and you will get a layout of the terrain also.. http://www.DR1.com
