popsec Posted December 28, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 28, 2007 Since Carnival doesn't sell this excursion until we're already on the ship, I'm wondering if we'd do better booking this directly with Xcaret....there's a discount if you book online. Just wondering if anyone has done the Carnival ship's excursion to Xcaret recently and what the cost was....
Higginsrdcple Posted December 29, 2007 #2 Share Posted December 29, 2007 Xcaret is a great place- if u get off @ calica (CRUISE PORT of CruiseLines)- actually a loading facility for Raw material from mexico- is a short cab ride to the Park. U dont need to buy from carnival for there 20-25% mark up. Nothing else in calica other then the Street vendor stalls- U have to run the GAUNTLET! :)
ILUVCRUZEN Posted January 3, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 3, 2008 Don't book it through Carnival like last poster said, When you get off the ship in Calica there will be PLENTY of taxis available to take you to XCaret and plenty of taxis at Xcaret to take you back to ship. BambiRumsey Posted February 5, 2008 #4 Share Posted February 5, 2008 I just read over on the main carnival board something about Carnival cancelling this excursion all together dues to Xcaret not renewing some kind of auto insurance? If you are cruising Carnival you may not have a choice but to book it on your own....
