Continental Flight Time Change

We booked an early flight from CLE to SJU (with connection) for the end of March. I just happened to pop on the Continental website and checked on our reservation and a notice pops up about a schedule change and asking for me to confirm it. It's not departing that much earlier - around 15 minutes. My question is - do you have the option to jump to a later flight? I know this is a silly question but just checking to see if you can change flights without paying. I don't fly often so I'm new at doing this on my own. Any info would be appreciated.

For a minute change, you'd need a pretty convincing argument to get onto a different flight with no added costs.

 

Typically you need to have a flight change of at least one-hour or a too-close-for-comfort connection. in order to have any leverage in this case.
