Watersports at PlayPortomari

We were at Playa Puerto Marie last week. By taxi it is a 30 min, $35 each way drive. We arranged a time for our taxi driver to pick us up and we paid him at the end of the return.

I'm sorry I don't have info on watersports, we brought our own snorkeling gear with us. On a Sunday for the 2 of us it cost $12, $4 each for beach entrance fee and $2 each for lounger rental. It is 50cents cheaper per on weekdays.

The beach is lovely, plenty of shade under fixed umbrellas or shade trees. The entry to the water is rough, lots of broken coral. My DH did ok barefoot, I wore aquashoes. We say many wearing Crocs. If you are a "tenderfoot" you will need something on your feet to access the water. Snorkeling was really good, lots of coral and fish. There are reefballs to encourage the growth of coral.

We ate lunch at the restaurant, good stuff, Dutch food.

It was well worth the $82 plus the cost of lunch, $50 IIRC. We would go again in a heartbeat.

Happy cruising, Kathy
