What to do in Puntarenas?

We just got back from the 12/23 18 day sailing on the Journey and used a lot of independent tour companies. In Punta Arenas we used this company, Carlos Galindo Tours that was wonderful. We also used them in Puerto Montt and Valparaiso. Carlos does the tour himself in Puerto Montt but has his company handle Punta Arenas. When you contact him let him know that Elise Gold recommended him. You can reach me at egold1@dc.rr.com.

We also just returned from the 12-23 sailing on the Journey and we did a tour on a zodiac to Magdalena Island through Turismo Nuevo Mondo. We also used them in Puerto Madryn to go to Valdez Peninsula. We were very happy with their service. They accept credit cards and the service was very good.

I don't know if you are scheduled to stop at Comodoro Rivadavia. If you are, you may as well count that as a sea day. The winds are unbelievable there and we didn't make it in. The Capt. of the Journey is great. You'll love him.
