Agree with Sue on both comments.... plenty of waiting taxi's and the price is posted.... my comment about confirming the amount is just to avoid problems at time of payment.... Our taxi drivers can be as "bad" as any NY taxi's...... Even though we live and drive in the city we take taxi's often, especiallly from the airport....

When we left for our cruise we had 10 of us, and we stayed the night in Miami Beach (what a great way to kick off the week). We rented a car, and my uncle payed taxi driver for us. With gas and such we paid around $8 a person to get to the pier. Granted gas was $1.20 a gallon too!!! And we are a close family so it took three trips. One was just a luggage run!!!

Yep. Taxi is the best all around choice. Price wise and time wise. You hale the cab, load your bags and go. Buses and shuttles will wait for more passengers coming off flights to fill the bus/shuttle. No waiting with cabs!

still the taxi

not flat rate of $24 from the airport proper (unless the hotel has a free shuttle back to the airport); but the cost will be approximately the same.

with 4 you want to ask for a van or SUV type taxi, but the cost is the same and the wait should not be long. You could simply call the desk b4 you head down and ask them to call a taxi for you noting the van/SUV request.
