Following advice...overpacking

I was on the Vision during Sept. and actually underpacked!! This time around I feel like I'm overpacking. I don't know what to get rid of, b/c I'm doing a couple of water excursions and I know I won't want to shop in something I SCUBA dived in... HELP!!!

First cruise my son and I had a large carry on each. We did fine.

 

Second cruise I took a full/large sized suitcase and one small carry on. We did great but there were some clothing I didn't even use.

 

Third Cruise in Feb. I'm taking a medium sized checked bag and a small carry on.

 

Fourth cruise to Alaska in August I will need a large bag. period as we don't need to take air to port. Will need some heavier clothing tho than what I'd need in Carribean.

 

My perfect vacation packing would be the one I only had to take one carry on. (airport max regulation size)
