Icyhill Posted January 25, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 25, 2008 I'm wondering what the normal meal times are in PR. This will help for planning on when restaurants are open for meals as well as when they will be busy. I'm especially thinking about the day before our cruise when we are doing the early biobay tour using the tour company's transport. So, should we have a big, late (for us) lunch and bring snacks and eat another light meal afterward? Etc. Thanks!
rainforestgirl Posted January 25, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 25, 2008 Meal times are about the same as the States, maybe a little earlier. Lunch usually starts about 11am - about 2-3pm. But lots of places don't close between meals (depends how fancy!). Dinner runs from about 5:30 on. Some places (lots of the little roadside places close early, but restaurants will be open later). If you are doing the Fajardo BioBay, you will be in a little "marina" area which has lots of places to get a quick bite. Something will be open after your trip. No worries- you will never go hungry in PR!
orquidia Posted January 26, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 26, 2008 they eat late (dinner) , like in spain, and people can stay in a restaurant until 11pm talking at their table without any rush from the waiters. i've never seen early bird specials in Puerto Rico
