MCO to Port Canaveral Question

I just found out that Royal gave me some bad information about transfers and am now on my own to get to the port. I am traveling with my young nephew and am flying in at 1030a on 3/9.

 

I am nervous about renting a car since I am not coming in the night before and not knowing the area.

 

Any suggestions? On the return our flight is at 1130a, so I need something that we can get early.
