Walmart or similar in San Diego

We're staying at Best Western Bayside Inn pre-cruise. Is there a Walmart or Target or something like it nearby? Just in case I forget something (or decide to buy DS's diapers there instead of packing them) ...

There are no Target or Walmart stores downtown. Will you have a car? The closest Target is on Sports Arena Blvd to the north of the airport. I think there is a Longs Drugstore at Horton Plaza Shopping Center and a Ralphs grocery store at 101 G St. Other than that I can't think of anywhere downtown to buy diapers. Sorry.

There is a Rite Aid drug store right around the corner from that hotel. Other than the Ralph's supermarket and Longs, there is also a new Albertson's in the East Village (on the east side of the Gaslamp Quarter).

 

The closest Target would be either in Loma Portal or Mission Valley, and the closest Walmart is in Kearny Mesa.

We won't have a car ... we fly in the day before, so it didn't seem worthwhile. The Rite Aid will do if we end up in a pinch. I think I'll pack diapers anyway; once they're used, we can pack souveneirs and cheap booze in their former space! LOL
