What beach has the best shore diving on St. Thomas?

When we were there in November,we saw people shore diving at Coki Beach but was not around when they came out of the water to see if it was any good. The snorkeling there was very disappointing.

I don't know if it is the "best", but Coki beach and http://www.cokidive.com work.

We dove with Coki Beach Dive Club in St. Thomas a couple weeks ago while on a cruise. Jason was our guide and he was awesome! His knowledge of fish and underwater life was vast. In fact, we did our fish identification and underwater naturalist with him, and enjoyed it so much, we hope to go back at a later date and do a more extensive series of dives to learn more.

 

There was another group there getting certified for diving, so it took quite awhile to get us all in the water with our various guides, but we very much enjoyed our time there.

 

We took a "taxi" (a large open air bus-type vehicle) from the pier that cost around $20 for the two of us. They do wait until they are full before taking off. The sights and views from that taxi were incredible as well.

Our group of 4 dove there last September and we all were favorably impressed. The group included a longtime Instructor and 2 Divemasters. For a place that's dived so often it was quite nice.

 

There are evidently at least 2 dive ops at the beach, we went with Coki Beach Dive Club. The other place on the day we were there had most of the "Resort Course" people.....

 

We took an island tour for $25. and they dropped us there, then came back and returned us to the crusie ship.
