cruisingirls Posted February 21, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 21, 2008 Can anyone explain the difference to me? It looks like there are only 4 BE rooms and I am wondering why the price is slightly lower on these rooms. Any reviews of the BE category would be much appreciated! cruise4kicks Posted February 21, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2008 The only difference is location. I think these may also be bulkhead balconies? You can tell by looking at the deck plans (--> if they're all the way forward) and ship exterior pics. If they're not showing any BE category rooms available but are selling a BE guarantee, you stand a good chance of an upgrade to a higher category balcony (e.g., BD, BC, BB, BA). Good luck! :)
cruisingirls Posted February 21, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted February 21, 2008 Yes, these are foward, which I guess makes them bulkhead cabins. Are there any disadvantages to these balcony cabin vs others? Unfortunately we did not book a guarantee-so we are probably out of luck with the upgrade. SuiteRose Posted February 22, 2008 #5 Share Posted February 22, 2008 We are staying in a BD cabin on the Gem leaving this Saturday. If you can wait a week, I can let you know. The BD cabin does have the metal rim around the balcony. But I don't know the difference between BD and BE.
