Starwood Hotels in Europe Points Going Up

Recommended Posts

Just a heads up, a few Starwood Properties in Europe are having their cateogries changed March 4th. Le Meridien Barcelona is going from a 5 to 6, St. Regis in Rome is going from a 6 to a 7 Ouch! and Westin Europa Venice is going from a 5 to a 6! We luckily booked the Westin yesterday before reading this I used 16,000 points, after March 4 it would have cost me 25,000 so book now if you can.

I have called the Westin many times, and they told me 25000 ponits. Also, on line its says 25000. How did you get a deal for 16000 points?

The Westin in Venice? It's only a level 5 right now.....12,000 for slow season or 16,000 for high season. We only paid 12,000 points last time for two nights....from their website.....

Starwood Preferred Guest Category 5:

12,000 to 16,000 Starpoints for a free night.
