PurrSusan Posted March 2, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2008 I read where the ships are now taking cruisers to Sea Grape Beach as an excursion. Do you think this will cause this beach to be overcrowded? What about Cemetary Beach---is that more isolated? Also, does anyone know how far Cemetary Beach is from Sea Grape? Thanks for any info! caymanjohn Posted March 4, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 4, 2008 I've never seen the Sea Grape beach crowded, even with 5-6 cruise ships in. it's a long beach. Cemetery Reef is just as you enter West Bay so at least another half-mile up the road. I'm ashamed to say I've never used it.
PurrSusan Posted March 5, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted March 5, 2008 Thanks, John. I thought maybe it had started to get crowded now that Carnival has it included in their list of excursions. So, we could take a taxi or bus to Cemetary Beach & then walk back to Sea Grape--is that right? I was wondering how far apart they are & half a mile doesn't sound so bad. vijmas Posted March 5, 2008 #4 Share Posted March 5, 2008 Cemetry beach is really isolated and no facilities. We got down at seagrapes, and walkes 1/2 a block down. there is one gecho bar and beach and snorkeling were very good. Not crowded there wre 5 shipd on that day. We did not buy anything so it was all free. u could rent chairs if you want
alment Posted March 7, 2008 #5 Share Posted March 7, 2008 Sea Grape was quite crowded today possibly becasue Freedom of the Seas was in town. Much more leg room at Cemetery beach but without the added covenience of beach services.
