Photos on Ship, but not wedding

Recommended Posts

We are using an outside wedding coordinator for our Glacier wedding, but I am not thinking it would be nice to have some pictures of us on the ship in our wedding attire. Does anyone know how to schedule this in advance or what the prices would be?

If you are booking your wedding through The Wedding Experience/Royal Romance, then yes the photographer (who is the cruise ship's photographer) will take pictures on the ship. However, if you are booking your wedding through independent coordinator their photographer will not be permitted on board.

We tried to book a photographer only for the ship, but because we did not book our wedding through TWE/RR they told us this could not be done. We called the photography company directly and they would not budge. I guess they must have some kind of an agreement with TWE/RR not to provide services unless the wedding is booked using TWE/RR.

Is there going to be someone in your group (friend or family member) who has a decent camera that can take pics of you and your hubby on the ship? This is probably your best option...

Good luck with everything!

Last time on a cruise we just went to the photo shop and asked if there would be a photographer available to take photos of us around the ship and two volunteered. We picked one after talking to both, paid him 100 and he took us all over the ship for one hour. We made a deal of 200 for a cd of the pics. That was on RCCL.

First I would call the photographer that typically arranges the wedding photography. Don't tell them it has to do with a wedding. Just ask if you can arrange in advance for some private group shots.

Let them know that "you are willing to pay a per hour fee and or purchase a photo package from them, maybe one of their wedding packages, because you want a lot of different shots...?"

Questions about your <strikeout> Royal Romance wedding </strikeout> photography may be directed to Alex Melendez at 1-800-772-3470, ext 112, or 305-476-3666, ext 112. You may also log on to www.image.com or e-mail your questions here. amelendez@imageservices.com

If they wont let you purchase a wedding photo package then maybe they will still let you hire out a photographer for an hour and you can just purchase the standard RCCL pics.

If they wont let you pre-arrange a personal photo hour, so that you can get specific shots of your group, then, once on board, go to the photography area and ask at the counter if there is a photographer that would be available for hire to take some pictures for you at the time you desire. If the price is right, I bet you can find someone. If they don't have a photographer on-duty that they can "let go" to do this for you, ask if there is someone whom might be off duty that you could speak with about hiring to do this.

Whomever you hire, ask them about prices for a bunch of photos.

let us know what happens!

Good luck!
