Wineaux Posted March 11, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 11, 2008 any opinions???I waited till last minute to book my precruise hotel reservations. This is the only one with room available It's nothing fancy. My folks stay there every year when they visit. The price is right and you get what you pay for. Clean room, friendly staff and a bed to sleep in.
melika091900 Posted March 11, 2008 #3 Share Posted March 11, 2008 i agree, we just stayed there a few weeks ago, it was ok, reminds me of a motel 6.. its located by a lot of things, gas station, liquor store, mc ds a sushi resturant, etc.. try not to get a room in the front by the street, its noisy.. Wineaux Posted March 12, 2008 #5 Share Posted March 12, 2008 How convenient would it be for sightseeing in Hollywood? Hollywood is about 30 minutes or so away from the Vagabond but you're two seconds from the 110 freeway. Take the 110 north to the 101 north and exit off at Hollywood Blvd.
Curt Jerome Wild Posted March 14, 2008 #6 Share Posted March 14, 2008 How convenient would it be for sightseeing in Hollywood? Not at all truly convenient... If you are only staying here one night/day before, then you don't really have time (barely, especially if there is any traffic at all)... So try this for film and tv locations right there in San Pedro: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=567043 If you are staying for more than the night before, then stay somewhere that is convenient to get to Hollywood, and then also the port... Check this thread: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=734032 for ideas and links to other better hotels for a longer stay (if that's your thoughts/plans) Otherwise Vagabond is a decent night before the cruise stay...
