It's nothing fancy. My folks stay there every year when they visit. The price is right and you get what you pay for. Clean room, friendly staff and a bed to sleep in.

i agree, we just stayed there a few weeks ago, it was ok, reminds me of a motel 6.. its located by a lot of things, gas station, liquor store, mc ds a sushi resturant, etc..

 

try not to get a room in the front by the street, its noisy..

Hollywood is about 30 minutes or so away from the Vagabond but you're two seconds from the 110 freeway. Take the 110 north to the 101 north and exit off at Hollywood Blvd.

Not at all truly convenient...

If you are only staying here one night/day before, then you don't really have time (barely, especially if there is any traffic at all)...

So try this for film and tv locations right there in San Pedro:

If you are staying for more than the night before, then stay somewhere that is convenient to get to Hollywood, and then also the port...

Otherwise Vagabond is a decent night before the cruise stay...
