You would not make it back on the Amtrak train, because it does not even arrive in downtown Seattle until 10:30 pm, which would not leave you time (obviously) to make it to the airport by 9:45 pm for your domestic check in. Amtrak does, though, run several buses throughout the day that arrive here earlier. There is also QuickShuttle, which leaves from both Canada Place and Ballantyne Pier for Seattle.

If taking a bus, plan on about 5+ hours for the trip (3-ish hours for the drive itself, and 2+ hours for the waiting and processing at the border if it is busy), and remember that TSA in Seattle is notorious for their long waits for security screening, though they have improved somewhat in recent months.

Seattle CruiseLover is absolutely right about the the real train (leaves Vancouver at 6pm, gets into Seattle around 10:30). All other "Amtrak" departures are buses.

If I were you, I wouldn't even mess around with the Amtrak "Thruway" (aka bus) departures. Use QuickCoach, which will take you right from the Vancouver pier to SeaTac airport. That way you don't have to mess around with unecessary transfers (pier to station in Vancouver, station to airport in Seattle).

Do allow the 5 hours, regardless of whatever the scheduled time is for QuickCoach. If you have extra time in Seattle airport, so be it. SeaTac is one of the nicer airports to hang out in now, lots of shops and food options.
