ZAMOST Posted September 27, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 27, 2004 Anyone been on the Black Sea itinerary with Radisson? Are the ports of Odessa, Yalta, Sevastopol, Nessebur worthwhile? Not your usual list of hot spots to get to. Looking at the Voyager for September 2005.
dougburns Posted September 27, 2004 #2 Share Posted September 27, 2004 Contact me at dougburns1@cox.net. I'll steer you to a site that has a good review of the Diamond cruise that did that itinerary this past summer.

Wendy The Wanderer Posted September 29, 2004 #4 Share Posted September 29, 2004 I've done this itinerary, and did post quite alot about it, elsewhere on this board, and other places. I can email you my reviews if you like.
ZAMOST Posted September 30, 2004 Author #5 Share Posted September 30, 2004 Enjoyed your review. Sounds as if these Black Sea ports are more interesting than I might have thought. Generally prefer not to use ship sponsored tours and just walk the city, but sounds like some of these are best seen with tours. I assume your overall trip was a good one. We are looking into the Radisson Voyager trip in September 2005. Thanks
Iamboatman Posted September 30, 2004 #6 Share Posted September 30, 2004 Why is everyone emailing the information rather than posting it? Before I did a similar cruise it was fairly difficult to find information. I think you will find the ports very interesting. I describe the cruise as more "cerebral" than "fun", but I am very glad I took it. Also, I would not shy away from the Radisson tours on that itinerary. I say this noting that I almost never take ship's tours. None of the tours I went on were even remotely crowded, the guides were (with one exception) very good, the prices were more than reasonable (at $50 average per person) and the ability to find good and reliable private tour operators in these ports is not very easy, if possible at all. Wendy The Wanderer Posted October 1, 2004 #7 Share Posted October 1, 2004 Because I posted most of my reviews on a different site. Some I posted here, but the board was going through its software transition, so I don't know if it survived. I agree with your assessment of "cerebral". But it was fun as well, me and my spouse enjoy thing that are out of the ordinary, and were glad to see some of eastern Europe.
