agrip76 Posted March 18, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2008 We have a choice of staying on the 8th floor balcony room or being on the 6th floor guaranteed room with $100 off with the chance of an upgrade. What is better?
agrip76 Posted March 18, 2008 Author #2 Share Posted March 18, 2008 no one has any thoughts?
MonaCK Posted March 18, 2008 #3 Share Posted March 18, 2008 I would take my chances with a guarantee... but if having a balcony is really important to you, you should go for that.
cruiselover999 Posted March 18, 2008 #4 Share Posted March 18, 2008 I am on the 8th floor on the Valor this November. I chose an 8A and got upgraded to an 8C. There is no way I would take a chance of losing a balcony cabin. $100 isn't that much money to take the chance, ya know? I'd just stick with what you have and be thrilled!!!!:D
agrip76 Posted March 18, 2008 Author #5 Share Posted March 18, 2008 it's a balcony either way..just a difference of having a room number or not really.
agrip76 Posted March 18, 2008 Author #6 Share Posted March 18, 2008 the difference is being on the 6th floor with a balcony with no assigned room number BUT STILL a BALCONY, maybe being upgraded and saving $100, or having a assigned room on 8th floor with a balcony. msolberg Posted March 18, 2008 #7 Share Posted March 18, 2008 I personally love the gamble of the guarantee. We just booked a BL guarantee and got upgraded to a 9A. Couldn't have done that with an assignment. Diane

tls630 Posted March 18, 2008 #9 Share Posted March 18, 2008 Go with your gut! But in the long run $100.00 is not very much to worry about, I say get the room you want!!

I'm sorry! I misunderstood what you were saying...thought it was a cat. 6 cabin! In that case, take the money and take your chances! A balcony is a balcony and 100 bucks is 15 drinks!:D
falconfan Posted March 18, 2008 #11 Share Posted March 18, 2008 I agree with cruiselover999...take the guarantee and the $100.
MonaCK Posted March 18, 2008 #12 Share Posted March 18, 2008 I also thought you were choosing between a Cat 6a or Cat 8a. yes - go for the guarantee. You'll get a balcony, and odds are good that you'll get upgraded. If you have your heart set on a particular cabin you should go for that, but otherwise, why not see ifyou can get something even better for less money? :)
