Long Island ISP

Check out this thread-it has info on how to get from Eastern Long Island (ISP area) to Manhattan.

Any savings that you may get flying SW into ISP will be eaten away trying to get into Manhattan or Brooklyn unless you take the train or the bus.

Hello again,

There is no L.I.R.R. station at the airport. You would have to take a taxi to the station. Then, once you get into NYC you would have to take another taxi to the pier in NYC. LGA is the closest airport to the piers in Manhattan. I really can't help you if you are sailing from Brooklyn. Sorry. The taxi's are metered from the airport but since I've never taken a taxi from LGA to the pier I can't give you any idea how much it would cost. If you're sailing from Brooklyn, JFK is the closer airport.

JFK is 14,22 or 24 miles from the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal depending which way the cab goes(most go the 22 mile way). LGA is 9 miles from the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal. You can check the mileage your self on Mapquest using the Brooklyn cruise terminal entrance address of Imlay and Bowne Streets Brooklyn 11231.

A cab from LGA to either the Manhattan Cruise terminal or the Brooklyn one will be under $35.00...not so from Kennedy at all...
