Random - Shopping in the DR

Hi Everyone, does anyone know if the DR has high end stores anywhere maybe in Santo Domingo or somewhere else? I am wondering if they have the watch stores with the Cartier watches, rolex watches and leather goods stores too for higher end handbags etc. Does anyone know? Thx in advance.

I don't know about Santa Domingo, we stopped in LaRomana, but the cruise ship staff told us not to plan on shopping in DR or Grand Turk--to do all our shopping in San Juan and St. Thomas. Hope this helps!
