PVP-where do I get one?

I am looking into another Carnival cruise for Feb. 2009. Last time, I researched online, then called the toll free line.

I don't believe I have a PVP, since no one has ever sent me emails, or called one. I don't know how I would get one.

Or...should I just call the toll free number again. I've never had any problems with talking to them.

Any suggestions? I appreciate any info. Thanks!:)

If you fill out the annoying pop up that shows up when you hit the back button, someone will call you (A PVP) within a couple of hours. Every time I couldn't get hold of my PVP, I would do this and, miraculously, he would call. After he quit, I got my new PVP this way.

Aw Parrothead..you know better:confused:

I know... Shame on me. I was only going to give the OP the recipe for the fun ship special. My PVP has it, so the OP would have to call her. I can't control what they talk about after that!!

HEHE

I don't think the OP is asking for a specific recommendation. They want to know how one gets on the PVP train.

Just call Carnival and ask to speak to a PVP. They will plug you into the next available agent, and voila, there you are.

The PVP that pops up on Carnival for me when I log in hasn't been there for over a year. If you don't like the one you get, you can just ask for another one when you call them back. They will all help.

Make sure that you get a PVP and not a CVS. Although there are some people that will defend CVS to death, their job is not to create a relationship with the guest. That's the job of a PVP.

PVP - Personal Vacation Planner (1-800-819-3902)

CVS - Certified Vacation Specialist (1-800-CARNIVAL)

:) Thank you, Tapi for the great information. I have only spoken with the employees at 1-800-CARNIVAL. I'm happy to have a better understanding of the difference!

you can have mine. He called 2 days after we got back from our trip on the Valor, ready for me to book another cruise. Only good thing is we were looking for a cruise in Oct 08 and another in March 09. But for Oct we have jumped ship to try RCI(Freedom of the seas). My PVP has called me 3 times since the first time, but Oct is booked, don't know if we will go with Carnival in March or not. Don't get me wrong we have loved our Carnival cruises just trying out something new.
