Walkie talkies on pacific dawn

I heard that you could hire walkie talkies to keep in contact with the kids on the pacific dawn, can someone tell me if it is true and how much it costs.

 

I think if i gave my kids a walkie talkie to use it would accidently end up at the bottom of the pool :D

They do have them, and on a post from the middle of last year they were $5 per handset per day.

 

With a limited number of channels, and passengers taking their own, cross traffic is possible. Also with the sturdy steel hulls on the ship, reception can be hit & miss.

 

If you are thinking of buying and taking your own, the cheap sets will not have enough power.
