after cruise rent a car?????

Help needed

 

We have a flight out of LAX on 4/27 at 3pm. Should we consider renting a car at the San pedro pier the morning we dock? or will it take forever to get off the ship then to deal with traffic in LA that it is not worth the effort? just head to the airport to wait out the time for our flight

You would have to rent from one of the two companies in San Pedro (neither at the pier), and it is likely you will not be off the ship until nearly 11AM. Since you need to plan to be at LAX no later than 1:30PM for a 3PM flight (earlier if international) I would just get a shuttle or cab to LAX directly. You would have little or no time to do any sightseeing.
