Shopping: Havensight/ Yacht Haven Grande VS. Charlotte Amalie

We are looking for some shopping info. It looks as though the Havensight area has gained quite a few more stores since we were last there (2001). Is the shopping better than Charlotte Amalie? It looks like Yacht Haven Grande is more upscale stuff, but how are the shops at the pier?

Here are some particulars about the trip: We're on Carnival Miracle so we'll be at Havensight, we'll be in port on a Sunday from 7 to 4, and we have plans to go to St John while we're there.

Thanks for the infomation/ advice.

If you are going to St. John and then plan on some shopping when you get back then it will likely be in Havensight. The shops downtown/Charlotte Amalie generally close half day on Sundays, so close around 1pm, some stay open until 3pm.

Yes there are a good bit of shops in Havensight. And there is Port of Sale right next door and then Yacht Haven Grande right next to that. Yacht Haven Grande is more upscale shopping. They are all very close and its easy to walk between them.
