We're looking for 2 to 4 people to join us on a private tour of Berlin, Sat. 15 July conducted by tour company called "A Friend in Berlin." Details follow:

The tour begins with pick up in Warnemünde/Rostock by mini-bus (up to 6 passengers, plus tour guide and driver in front, air-conditioned). Transfer time to Berlin is 2-2.5 hours. Guide joins us in Berlin. Cost is Euro 910 for up to 6 people and includes a 6-hour tour. The cost for the ships bus tour (with 35-40 people) is $329 per person, so if we get just 2 other people the cost is $100 less and the tour is much more private.

You will see the Charlottenburg Castle, Kurfürstendamm, Memorial Church and Zoo, Cultural Forum, Gendarmenmarkt, Victory Column, Bellevue (Seat of the President), Government Section with Reichstag, Hackesche Markt, New Synagogue and Old Jewish cemetery, Museum Island, Alexander Square, City Hall, Berlin Cathedral, Nicolai church, sight of former City Castle, Unter den Linden with Opera, Crown Prince Palais, New Guard House, Humbold University, Brandenburg Gate and Parisian Square, Holocaust Memorial, Berlin Wall, Checkpoint Charlie, Potsdam Square, etc. etc. with photo stops where ever you like, a walk through the Brandenburg Gate, and with your choice of a couple of additional stops such as:

- visit to the Jewish museum or the New Synagogue (Euro 5 per person)

- visit to a Museum (Pergamon, Picture Gallery, Berggruen) (approx. Euro 10 per person)

- visit to the downstairs Documentation Center of the Holocaust Memorial

- visit to the Topography of Terror (former SS headquarter) and other Third-Reich and World War II venues

- walk through the Nicolai quarter (medieval part of town)

- shopping in the KaDeWe (the largest and most exquisite department store in Continental Europe)
