Our day in Roatan...Canopy Tour and Foster's West Bay

We just got back on Saturday, October 2 from our NCL Sea cruise. We hired a taxi driver for $45 (3 of us) and he took us first to the canopy tour. Please specify you want the one with 11 lines. This was a BLAST!!!! I can't tell you how much fun we had; definitely the highlight of our trip. They fit you with a harness, give you a pair of gloves, hook you to the line and off you go. There's two guides, one goes first and the other one goes last, so there's always someone to help, if you need it. It's kinda scary at first, but once you get the hang of it, tons of fun and safe. It was $35/person.

 

Afterwards the taxi-cab driver took us to Foster's West Bay Resort. It was great. Very laid-back and casual. You can eat at the bar and the food was terrific. My son had two lobster tails for $15 with rice, salad, etc.. He said it was the best seafood he had all week The beach was gorgeous. It's like a horseshoe bay, and you see all the way down to Mayan Princess and Tabyana, which...btw, they were CROWDED. There were only a few people at the resort, and we rented chairs for $5 under a palapa. We walked for 5 minutes down the beach to Mayan Princess and used their pool free of charge. We returned to Foster's for some peace and quiet. Afterwards, the driver took us to the ship. We had a wonderful day and highly recommend the canopy tour!
