Why are the tag to put on your luggage now made of paper? What is this about? Any ideas about how to put this on the luggage thank

You will get alot of ways to do this but we waited until we got to the terminal and the porters secured them for us. Our luggage arrived fine to our cabin and I had to rip them off once we were home. They were fine with just being stapled very well.

I just put that extra wide clear mailing tape on both sides of it and then fastened it on.

I can only assume that they are cheaper to produce than the old tags that had the elastic string and little metal grommet. I liked the old ones better, kept them as a souvenir. Oh well, times change.

Just follow the directions on how to fold them.

Just remember the writing has to be outside and in the middle of the paper; then fold accorddingly.

 

Mine lasted going and coming and I had to cut them off with sharp scissors.

I agree with previous poster about folding correctly. This will probably be the most time consuming part of the luggage tag process. Just use really good copy paper, can even use card stock if you want to.

put inside luggage, with just sur name & phone # on it..so if outside pne comes off for what ever reason..it is inside withthe bar code on it..and that has all info on it

We use the laminated pouches that you can find at the local "W"mart. We then punch a hole in it and use nylon ties - as a matter of fact, I still have a tag on a piece of luggage from my last cruise in March!:D

Wide clear packing tape on both sides and then attached to luggage.

I took it to my local Office Depot, had it laminated (laminated 10 for $4.50) - then punched a hole and will use zip ties to attach to suitcase.

 

The laminate they use is a hard type - that baby ain't goin' nowhere!

For those who haven't started shopping yet, you can get the zip ties at home depot/Lowes in the electrical section. Wanted to send out the info because I couldn't find any the 1st 2 places I looked.

Just back......I laminated it, used a hole punch to punch a hole and used plastic wire ties to hold on luggage. WORKED GREAT thanks to a cruise critic's advise.
