Hotel near NY cruiseport

We are driving to NY for a New England Fall cruise. Would like to stay at a safe hotel where we can keep our car while gone for 7 days. Any suggestions?

If you mean keep your car at the hotel for free while you are away on your cruise... you're not going to find that in NYC.

 

One option is to stay in NJ and then take the NY Waterway Ferry into Manhattan. Parking at the waterway ferry will cost you about $10/day.

 

You could also park at the ferry the day before your cruise, then stay in Manhattan for the nite, and if you don't get to NYC often i would recommend using this opportunity to spend some time there.
