kimbtech Posted October 11, 2004 #1 Share Posted October 11, 2004 Could someone please give me the phone number and website for Captain Larry's whalewatching tours out of Juneau. My husband and are will be aboard the Serenade of the Sea next August and would very much like to book thru Captain Larry . We have heard terrific things about his tours! I'd like to book locally instead of off the ship. Any information would be appreciated. I did try searching on the internet, but I keep getting that his website can't be found. Thanks, C
42trvl Posted October 11, 2004 #2 Share Posted October 11, 2004 Website is www.orcaenterprises.com. I imagine you can get phone # from website. We used them this past summer and were pleased with the boat ride part. The organization before and after left something to be desired, but nothing too bad. Have fun!:)

Budget Queen Posted October 11, 2004 #4 Share Posted October 11, 2004 It's too early to book now, but be sure of your plans when you do, as some independent tours have cancelation fees. Be aware of and agree with all policies before you book. :)
dodge9 Posted October 12, 2004 #5 Share Posted October 12, 2004 I did a group on Orca Tours (Capt. Larry) in May 2003 and it was lots of fun. We worked with Carol in the office and she was wonderful, all was in order. Their toll free number is 1-888-733-ORCA. Definitely book this in advance as they do sell out. We plan to use Orca again when we go back to Alaska in May. Have fun!
42trvl Posted October 13, 2004 #6 Share Posted October 13, 2004 I'm not sure exactly when we booked, but it was several months before the summer, so it wouldn't hurt to call them and check. Once you book, I believe there is a $25/person cancel fee, but they were flexible about letting you reschedule without charging a fee.
CEWayfarer Posted October 13, 2004 #7 Share Posted October 13, 2004 I booked this week for next June. There is the $25pp charge if you cancel up to 72 hours before. After that, no refund. After reading about how great and how popular the tours were, I decided to go for it and make the reservation, even though it's still 8 months away. kimbtech Posted October 13, 2004 Author #8 Share Posted October 13, 2004 Thanks everyone. I'm calling them today to book for Aug. off the Serenade of the Sea. I am SO looking forward to this excursion. It'll be our 4th visit to Juneau and have never done this kind of trip.
