grannybee Posted June 6, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 6, 2008 We are thinking of booking Millenium Feb 2009 and my DH wants as much scenery as possible and I would like sunshine. Do we go Starboard or Port?
Steamboatin Posted June 6, 2008 #2 Share Posted June 6, 2008 That depends in which direction you are traveling. Look at your itinerary and it should be simple to figure out. Also another reason to use a good Travel Agent.
SheilaNC Posted June 6, 2008 #3 Share Posted June 6, 2008 It probably doesn't matter since the ship is going both north and south at different points in the cruise AND since you are more likely to be on deck moving from side to side to enjoy the many views of scenery. We were fortunate to have an Aft cabin and, even with that, spent most of our time viewing in the forward lounge or on deck. It's a wonderful cruise. leoandhugh Posted June 6, 2008 #4 Share Posted June 6, 2008 You dont need a travel agent to figure that one out You will be in port many of the days so which side the sun is on is of no consequence. When you go to an area like Milford Sound the ship goes in, turns around and comes back out; so both sides get the scenery and on the days you are at sea between ports you are usually too far out at sea to see much scenery. The best scenery is in the fjords like Milford Sound and in the Bay of Islands and it will be on both sides of the ship.:)
