Different boarding times

Okay a am a veteran cruiser and sailed many cruieses but this will be the first time that the person in my cabin with me will not be boarding at the same time. I assume this happens all the time with people, but I haven't ever had to deal with it so somone with experience let me know how it works. We will have different credit cards for sign and sail so I don't know why it would be a big deal.

I've done it a couple of times on our annual girls cruises and as long as you have your own set of documents and are using seperate credit card you do not have to check in at the same time. Never had a problem but I do tell the person checking me in that my cabinmate will be checking in at a different time.
