got twins? Posted July 7, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 7, 2008 Hello!! My hubby and I + our 8-yr-old b/g twins are crusing on the Carnival Elation this August. We are looking through all of the reviews to learn what to do in Ensenada and Cabo San Lucas. This is our first cruise with kids, and we really want to make it a great experience. Does anyone have any good kid-friendly shore excursion tips? We prefer some simple options (even just going to the beach) over the fancy and expensive. Thanks so much!!! :) :)

SDPadreFan Posted July 8, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 8, 2008 Sorry to say that there is just not much for children in Ensenada. You could just stay on the ship. Cabo has Medano Beach (for swimming), as well as a trip out to the arch (by water taxi or glass bottom boat). There, you will see the arch (aka: Land's End, aka Finisterra ) as well as Lover's Beach, and the sea lion colony. Other options include a snorkeling trip on one of the catamaran's (which would also include a trip to the arch and the sea lion colony so don't do this twice). The snorkeling trips are easy to book on your own so don't pay the ships prices. They will also normally include lunch, etc. There are many discussions on this board regarding the snorkeling trips. A final, but pricy option would be the dolphin encounter (swimming with the dolphins). This may be better suited for the grandparents and not for the owner's of the twins.
