Water Taxi near Sleep Inn in Dania ???

Since we will be in FLL at noon in October a day before our cruise, we thought we would like to get on the intercoastal water taxi for a sightseeing trip. Does anyone know how far the water taxi would be from the Sleep Inn in Dania ??

The closest stop is just over 6 miles north of the Sleep Inn. Cab will run about $20 each way with tip.
