How far is it to the shopping from the Punta Langosta (downtown) pier? Is it within walking distance? We want to also find a restaurant called Fat Tuesday near "the square" where a man sells airbrush (??) pictures. Does anyone know how far this will be from the downtown pier?

The area you refer to is about a ten minute or so walk, depending on the time of year, you may want to jump in a taxi.

We were there last week. A cab ride was $5.00 to the square. Be sure and get an ice cream sundae at Los Palmeras while you are there. The airbrush guy is right behind them. (Their menu is in pesos, not dollars):D :D
